Greater South River - Basketball

Registration Open for Basketball for players in Highschool (ages 14-17). For all other ages, our teams our full. Please contact Pam Hebb, hmdmom@comcast.net for registration on a case by case basis for all other age groups.

GSR County Basketball practice and assessments will start this Sunday, Oct 26th.

All of the practice/assessmentss will be in the Central Middle School gymnasium. Please refer to the GSR basketball evaluation schedule for your player's age group.

We are trying to have the kids in the gym as much as possible before dividing teams. The teams will be registered and placed on Nov 10th. Hence, all players need to attend the early season practice sessions/evaluations. If you have not registered, please register online the GSR Athletices Registration page this week so that the coaches and coordinators can concentrate on the kids and not completing registrations. You can bring a payment with you to the gym if you do not want to pay online. If you have any questions please contact Pam Hebb at hmdmom@comcast.net.

You may get information on our various programs by clicking on the links to the left. Our clinic programs are for players ages 5-7 and county teams for players 8-17 years old (age as of August 1st).

About GSR Basketball:

GSR Athletics has basketball programs for players age five to seventeen. The winter season begins in mid November and ends late February/early March and the summer season starts late June and ends late July, depending on age.

GSR Basketball teams practice in the gyms at Central Elementary, Central Middle, Edgewater Elementery, and South River High School. The clinic program is primarily at Central Elementary.

Junior Clinic Ages 5 Group divided into equal teams. Practice or games twice a week.

Senior Clinic Ages 6-7 (Experienced 1st graders, 2nd graders)
Practice once a week and games on Saturday against other clinic teams.

County Basketball Ages 8-17 (age based on September 1st of Current Calendar year)
Winter: practice twice a week with games on Saturday afternoons.
